American television personality Jill Zarin was removed from the new E! production “The Golden Life” following her controversial remarks about Bad Bunny’s performance during the Super Bowl halftime showwhich she described as the worst in history.
Zarin, a former cast member of “The Real Housewives of New York City” (RHONY)faced backlash after criticizing Bad Bunny’s performance at the 2026 Super Bowl.
In a deleted Instagram video, she stated, “We are celebrating 250 years in the United States, and it didn’t seem appropriate to do it in Spanish. I don’t speak Spanish, and I would like to have to understand what he was saying. “It seemed like a political statement to me, because there was literally no white person at the entire event.”
Additionally, Zarin expressed concern about Bad Bunny’s desire and questioned his behavior during the performance. “He’s got all these kids watching the Super Bowl, and he doesn’t need to be grabbing his crotch every five seconds—does he really feel that insecure?” she remarked. Zarin also claimed that his special guest, Lady Gaga, looked so unrecognizable that she had to Google her identity. “I didn’t recognize her,” she added.
In response to Zarin’s comments, Blink49 Studios announced on February 10, “Following Jill Zarin’s recent public comments, we have decided not to proceed with our involvement in The Golden Life. We remain committed to producing the series in accordance with our company’s standards and values.”
Furthermore, Zarin Fabrics, an independent fabric store co-founded by Zarin, publicly distanced itself from her remarks on its official Instagram account.
The statement: “Zarin Fabrics strongly opposes racism, discrimination, and rhetoric that seeks to exclude or belittle people based on identity, culture, or background. We want to make it absolutely clear that Jill Zarin has not owned or been associated with Zarin Fabrics for several years.”
