TV Brasil wins recognition at the Sebrae Journalism Award/RJ

The editions “Gastronomia da Solidariedade” and “Business of Impact” were classified in the Video Journalism category and selected for the state decision. With reporting by Aline Beckstein, the two special articles recognized among the best productions in the final were carried out by the team of the public broadcaster in Rio de Janeiro.

The award values ​​the work of the press in favor of strengthening small businesses. The objective is to ratify the relevance of coverage and news that give visibility to the entrepreneurial culture. This year’s central theme is “The importance of small businesses for the country’s economy”.

Originally aired on March 13, 2022, the episode “Solidarity Gastronomy” secured second place in the award. The Sebrae Journalism Award (PSJ) distinguishes the best news broadcast on different Brazilian media channels or new digital platforms about entrepreneurship and small business. The initiative reinforces the fundamental role of the press to strengthen and give visibility to small businesses.

The ninth edition of the contest received more than 1,100 entries. Journalistic content published between September 1, 2021 and June 29, 2022 is vying for the award.

The works entered in the categories of text, audio, video and photo competed in the state stage. The winners are still in the running in search of victory in the regional and national stages.

Entries aimed at special awards have only the selection in the national stage. The finalists must be announced close to the date of the national ceremony of the 9th Sebrae Journalism Award (PSJ) which is scheduled to take place on December 6, in Brasília.
