Just like Christmas week, the TV Brasil shows the best musical programs of the Sem Censura season during New Year’s week, from Monday to Friday, at 4pm. The special programs bring together fun interviews by presenter Cissa Guimarães with guests and outstanding performances by artists on the stage of the public broadcaster’s production broadcast throughout 2024.
The themed attractions combine tributes to departed personalities from the music scene and highlight stars in the stands. The tributes mix relaxed conversations and presentations by icons of Brazilian culture with a repertoire of hits that appeared on the program in Friday editions throughout the year. The specials value national music, from samba to rock and soul, including MPB.
In the second week of the sequence, the Sem Censura programming rescues the passage through the TV Brasil names like Alceu Valença, Chico César, Elba Ramalho, Geraldo Azevedo, Ney Matogrosso, Sandra Sá, Zeca Baleiro and Zélia Duncan. It also remembers icons such as Elis Regina, Rita Lee and Tim Maia. The bands The Fevers and As Frenéticas also shine on the public channel stage.
Broadcast from Monday to Friday, at 4pm, the conversation can be followed via the app TV Brasil Play and in Broadcaster’s YouTube. The content is also available in podcast format on Spotify. Sem Censura has an alternative time on the small screen later on the same day, at 11:30 pm.
