After the Turkish production A Miracle, the TV Brasil A new soap opera for its dramaturgy range premieres on October 21st.
From Monday to Saturday, the broadcaster’s audience will be able to experience the emotions of the Portuguese soap opera “Sangue Oculto”, produced by SIC Televisão and unprecedented in Brazil. The soap opera airs at 8pm, after the news Reporter Brazil.
With a large cast, which includes Brazilian actress Luana Piovani in the role of the villain Vanda Corte Real, the soap opera tells the story of twin sisters separated in the maternity ward, who are reunited 30 years later. This meeting will reveal secrets from the past and change the fate of both families. The protagonists are played by actress Sara Matos.
The Director of Content and Programming at Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), Antonia Pellegrino, highlighted the quality of the production and the large cast of actors, in addition to the script that should please the Brazilian public.
“The production is reminiscent of soap operas by great authors like Antônio Calmon, which take place in beach towns, mixed with works by Manoel Carlos, which have great family plots. I understand that the soap opera’s script talks a lot with the Brazilian imagination and should win over the public”, he states.
The CEO of EBC, Jean Lima, adds that the arrival of Portuguese production is part of the strategy to strengthen the drama range and retain the public broadcaster’s audience. “After the Turkish production Um Milagre, we continue to invest in this format that is a passion of the Brazilian people and helps to strengthen and consolidate our audience among the five most watched open channels in the country”, he pointed out.
