This Sunday (7), at 23h45, the TV Brazil honors filmmaker and documentary filmmaker Silvio Tendler, who Died on Friday (5), at 75, in Rio de Janeiro. As a tribute to the director, the station displays the documentary Glauber, the film – Labyrinth of Brazil. 
Known as the “Interrupted Dreams Filmmaker” or “Filmmaker of the Overdue,” the award -winning documentary filmmaker dedicated his career to tell stories of personalities that marked politics and national culture, such as João Goulart, Juscelino Kubitschek, Carlos Marighella and Glauber Rocha. Over five decades of career, it has produced and directed over 70 films and 12 television series.
Among Tendler’s most emblematic works are JK years – a political trajectory (1980), Jango (1984) and Tancredo: the crossing (2011).
“Silvio Tendler is an unavoidable name in the history of the Brazilian documentary. Filmmaker and activist, has always fought for Brazilian democracy,” says Antonia Pellegrino, director of content and programming of EBC.

Glauber, The Movie – Labyrinth of Brazil
Production is a dive in the life and work of filmmaker Glauber Rocha, one of the main names of Cinema Novo, a movement that transformed aesthetics and film language in the country.
The documentary rescues archive images, interviews and testimonials that show the genius, restlessness and cultural legacy left by the controversial filmmaker.
