The episode Adolescence Connected to Danger, from the program Reporting Pathsproduced by journalist Carina Dourado and the TV Brasil team, won 2nd place in the Prevention and Confrontation of Violence category, at the MPRS Journalism Award 2025. The winners were announced this Friday (12), at the institutional headquarters of the Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Sul. 
Originally shown in October this year, the award-winning attraction analyzes the relationship that groups on the internet have with the increase in cases of children and adolescents involved in crimes. In Brazil, 95% of children and adolescents between the ages of 9 and 17 are online, around 25 million young people.
The ten winners of the 2025 MPRS Journalism Award stood out among 62 reports and series of reports entered in the 27th edition. The initiative is carried out by the Attorney General’s Office, in partnership with the Public Ministry Association and the Fundação Escola Superior do Ministério Público, with support from the Union of Professional Journalists of RS and the Riograndense Press Association.
The director of journalism at EBCCidinha Matos, highlights winning the MPRS Journalism Award 2025 as a result of the commitment to public communication. “Our professionals work with a focus on relevant issues that dialogue with the population. This recognition strengthens our contribution to society”, he states.
