This weekend, TV Brasil broadcasts matches valid for the 30th round of the Brasileirão Série B, with matches this Friday (4) and Saturday (5). The broadcasts will feature tactical analysis and information from the public broadcaster’s sports journalism team, starting with a pre-game before the ball rolls.
Yesterday (3), Operário and Chapecoense faced each other in Ponta Grossa (PR), broadcast on TV Brasil. The game ended with Operário winning 3×2. The two teams are in the middle of the league table and are looking to stay alive in the second division, avoiding possible relegation to Series C. Operário is trying to stay alive in the search for a place in Series A of the 2025 Brazilian Championship. Chapecoense, with 34 points won so far, trying to survive being four points away from the relegation zone.
Today (4), Avaí and Brusque play in Santa Catarina from 9:30 pm, in a clash that is worth a lot for both teams. For Avaí, the victory brings the team closer to a possible fight for the G4. For Brusque, winning three points away from home helps the team avoid relegation and stay in Series B.
This Saturday (5), Ponte Preta and Botafogo-SP play at Moisés Lucarelli Stadium, in Campinas (SP), starting at 4:45 pm, in a game in which both are trying to escape relegation to Series C. The two teams are 32 points, and with eight rounds to go until the end of the competition, each point is crucial.
Series B broadcast
This year, 20 clubs compete in the championship that runs until November and is worth a place in Series A and the Copa do Brasil. Of the 380 games in the competition, TV Brasil will select three per round, totaling 114 matches broadcast.
The arrival of Série B is part of the broadcaster’s strategy to expand the presence of sport in its programming. TV Brasil also showed the Brasileirão Feminino and the Women’s Basketball League (LBF).

About the competition
In 2024, Series B will have 380 games and will be played on a straight points system, in turn and return, with 19 first games and 19 return games.
