Turks and Caicos Islands Chamber of Commerce Introduced

He stressed that the Turks and Caicos Islands They have a high-level tourism development with which Dominican tourism should be more associated, and he appreciated the receptivity of that territory for thousands of Dominicans who live there and work in the tourism sector and other areas.

De los Santos also highlighted that companies like Helados Bon are already installed in Providenciales, regarding the presence at the presentation ceremony of José Moreno, a shareholder of that company.

He proposed the realization of a free trade agreement between Dominican Republic and the Turks and Caicos Islandswhich will benefit the Dominican productive sector.

Caesar Campbell, vice president of the entity, valued the initiative that seeks to promote the business climate, with the hope of reaching, at some point, a free trade environment that will allow investments in both nations to grow even more.

While Fernando González, president of the round table of the commonwealth countries in Dominican Republic offered all the support of that institution to the nascent chamber and highlighted the role that the British, Canadian and other commonwealth chambers of commerce have played in promoting trade, which has increased exponentially since the creation of the Chamber British Trade, 40 years ago.
