Turkish president’s visit to Mexico postponed

The visit to Mexico of the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoganplanned for the end of July, was postponed, the Mexican Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.

Erdogan was expected to meet with his Mexican counterpart, AAndres Manuel Lopez Obradorwith whom he would analyze ways to strengthen bilateral ties through trade and tourism.

The foreign ministry only said that the Turkish government had reported that the visit had been postponed but did not elaborate on the reasons.
