The Tupac Amaru Neighborhood Organization mobilized to the vicinity of the sanatorium in the capital of Jujuy where the social leader Milagro Sala remains hospitalized, where they requested her freedom and offered their support for the health problem she suffers from.

With banners that read the request “Libertad a Milagro” and “Fuerza Milagro”, the activists arrived at the “Los Lapachos” sanatorium in San Salvador de Jujuyin a clear show of support for the leader of Tupac Amaru, who has been hospitalized since last Monday for a “deep vein thrombosis.”

Outside the establishment, a column of police officers was part of a strong security operation, while different members of the social group expressed their encouragement to Sala through a loudspeaker.

“The companions and companions decided to come to the capital of Jujuy to accompany and offer their support to Milagro (Sala), and they do not want to stop being as we have always done since she was detained,” spokesmen for the social organization told Télam.

In this context, they recalled that before the “persecution” of their referent, the group “had mid-level cadres in the territories that found better warmth at the side of Governor Gerardo Morales,” although they affirmed that “the grassroots continue to have the same empathy with Milagro and her with her members.

Raising the flags of Tupac Amaru, activists from La Quiaca, Humahuaca, Yuto, San Pedro, La Esperanza, La Mendieta, among others, “places where the organization left its mark with homes, sports centers, and various works that are for the people “.

“Everything else – they continued – is the story of the governor of Jujuy, so we have to start putting white on black what the radical did in these seven years with all the power and apparatus of the State and what Milagro Sala did with well-resourced managed,” they emphasized.

They assured that the Tupac Amaru in Jujuy “has not disappeared despite the fact that the governor has wanted to erase the formal and institutional part”, recalling the last “memorable” march on March 24.

President Alberto Fernández visited Milagro Sala yesterday in the intermediate therapy room where she remains hospitalized and affirmed that “a system of clear persecution has been established” against the social leader.

In this context, he asked the Justice to take his “criticism in the best way” and urged the judges who intervened in the case to “review what they are doing, since it is not a good model for the country.”

The activist entered the health center last Monday with a picture of “deep vein thrombosis” after routine tests were performed due to pain in her left knee.

Milagro Sala has been detained since January 16, 2016 and, since then, requests from different organizations for her freedom have multiplied in the country and other parts of the world.
