Tulip Day 2024: when and where is the long-awaited free event

Tulip Day 2024: when and where is the long-awaited free event

He Tulip Day 2024 is just around the corner, and this long-awaited event is once again filling the spring in Santiago de Chile with colour. What began as a celebration originally from Amsterdam has become an annual tradition in the Chilean capital. This year, however, brings something new: for the first time, the event will change its venue, moving from the Palacio de La Moneda to another iconic sector of the city.

Tulip Day celebrates friendship and cultural ties between the Netherlands and Chile, highlighting the beauty of tulips, a flower symbol of the Dutch. During the day, thousands of people have the opportunity to take home bouquets of tulips for free, making the event one of the most eagerly awaited activities of spring. This year will be no exception, and it is expected that once again the public spaces where the activity will be held will be filled with life and colour.
