The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) will create a ticket office at the main headquarters in Caracas to receive applications from those who wish to apply for the application of the Amnesty Law. for Democratic Coexistence, AVN reports.

The information comes from the announcements made this Wednesday, after the meeting of the Special Commission for Monitoring the Amnesty Law with the Democratic Peace and Coexistence Program, a meeting held this Wednesday in the Hall of Shields of the Federal Legislative Palace, headquarters of the National Assembly (AN), in Caracas.

In this context, the coordinator of the Peace and Democratic Coexistence Program, Ernesto Villegas, recorded the database compiled by this organization, where he reported that all the courts in the country remain active and are receiving applications for the benefit granted by the legal instrument.

Likewise, the Public Ministry and the Public Defense will remain active 24 hours a day, motivating requests.

Balance of application of the Amnesty Law

Since its installation last Friday, February 20, the Special Commission for Monitoring the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence, chaired by Congressman Jorge Arreaza, has received 6,487 requests to obtain the benefit of the legal instrument approved unanimously in the National Assembly.

Of this figure, 185 people who were deprived of liberty have benefited from the application of this amnesty law; Likewise, 3,266 full freedoms have been granted to people who already had a precautionary measure.

Likewise, the installation of the three subcommittees of the parliamentary body was reiterated, the first being that of monitoring the Amnesty Law, chaired by the deputy Jorge Arreaza and vice president, the parliamentarian Nora Bracho.

The second subcommittee includes follow-up on labor issues, chaired by deputy Francisco Torrealba and vice president, Pablo Pérez; and finally, the subcommittee for monitoring special and complementary cases, a body chaired by Representative Carolina García and Representative Alfonso Campos as vice president.
