The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) began the opening of judicial activities of the year 2025 this Friday, January 31. In the act the president of the agency, Caryslia Rodríguez offered a management balance during 2024.
Rodríguez reported that in 2024 the appointment of judges and provisional and substitutes judges increased 29.09 % when comparing it with 2023, with the designation of 985 people in said positions.
“It is for me an immense honor to participate in this solemn act of opening judicial activities of the year 2025. Space that invites reflective thinking and the National Union,” said the magistrate during the ceremony.
Regarding the General Inspectorate of Courts, he reported that 494,700 ordinary, special, comprehensive inspections, denunciation and surveillance were carried out, which gave rise to 277 disciplinary procedures. In addition, he pointed out that last year they managed to deploy 718 mobile courts and that 260,146 were people served.

“The inauguration of 24 new courts and four special rooms, 10 new spaces for medical services for staff and 51 active medical services throughout the country, as well as 539 remodeling in the different judicial venuesprovision of computer equipment and servers for the judicial headquarters in the states of Táchira, Miranda, Monagas, Vargas, Barinas, Lara, Zulia, Cojedes, Guárico and La Guaira, ”said the magistrate.
The TSJ also reported that visits to the detention centers, judicial, criminal and judicial internships were made by interviewing 8,321 deprived of liberty and that they were held 2,196 audiences.
Regarding the academic training led by the National School of the Magistracy with the support of the Institute for Research and Postgraduate and the Ibero -American Institute of High Judicial Studies, he reported that the formation of 16,487 public servants of the Judiciary was achieved.
