TSJ and UN articulated to guarantee the human rights of women, girls and young people

The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and the United Nations Organization (UN) strengthened institutional ties in terms of respect, protection and guarantee of the Human Rights of women, girls and adolescents in the country.

According to a press release from the TSJthe president of the TSJ, Gladys Gutiérrez, and her counterpart from the National Commission for Gender Justice of the Judiciary, Lourdes Suárez Anderson, held a meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator in Venezuela, Gianluca Rampolla del Tindaro.

During the meeting, Gutiérrez highlighted the work carried out by the Venezuelan Judiciary within its constitutional and legal powers in the protection and protection of the human rights of women, girls and adolescents.

He recalled that the Venezuelan State has the Organic Law on the Right of Women to a Life Free of Violence, courts specialized in the matter.

Likewise, it indicated that the State has advanced jurisprudence in this matter, which makes it possible to establish priority attention for citizens who require it.

In this sense, he mentioned that the judges in the matter receive constant training, so that they have the technical and legal knowledge to guarantee accessible, efficient and modern justice.

UN recognizes the role of the TSJ

For his part, the UN resident coordinator in Venezuela, Gianluca Rampolla del Tindaro, recognized the fundamental role of the Judiciary in protecting the rights of women, girls and adolescents.

Given the advances in this matter in the country, Rampolla showed the willingness to develop joint and articulated work, in order to support the Justice System in guaranteeing the integrity of those who have been victims of some type of crime.
