The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) sworn in on Tuesday (5) two ministers appointed by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to compose the court, which is responsible for organizing the elections in the country.
Last month, from a triple list formed only by women, Lula chose the lawyer Estela Aranha for a vacancy of effective TSE minister.
Minister Floriano de Azevedo Marques was also sworn in today. The minister will fulfill the second term of two years to the position of effective minister.
According to the Constitution, it is up to the President of the Republic to appoint the lawyers who make up the court. The TSE is composed of seven ministers, three from the Supreme Federal Court (STF), two from the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) and two lawyers, in addition to their substitutes.
