Even though the Central Electoral Board (JCE) closed the cycle of electoral processes for 2024 and exhausted the calendar, the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE) is still in charge of several conflicts generated in the last elections.
As of yesterday, the TSE still had five electoral contentious files in its possession under investigation, of which three were heard yesterday Wednesday and two remain without a date, pending the setting of a day for the public hearing in which they will be heard.
Among the files known yesterday is 05-0047-2024, which is a preventive protection action submitted by Mrs. Aura María Méndez Méndez on July 17 against members of the District Committee of the PRM in the Municipal District of Carretón; member of the District Board of Carretón; president and general secretary of the Municipal Committee of the PRM of Baní; PRM of Baní; PRM National; José Ignacio Paliza and Carolina Mejía.
Another case seen in a public hearing yesterday was file 01-0214-024, which was an appeal submitted by Manuel de Jesús Matos Hernández on July 19, 2024 against the Pedernales Electoral Board.
The third appeal heard by the TSE yesterday was 01-0215-2024, an appeal against resolutions 26/2024 and 27/2024, both dated May 27, 2024, issued by the Electoral Board of Santo Domingo Norte, submitted by Bernardo Candelario Acosta against the Electoral Board of Santo Domingo Norte and the Central Electoral Board (JCE).

The electoral court has two other pending files, but without a date of knowledge. These are the appeal 01-0216-2024 against resolution number 33 dated May 27, 2024 issued by the Electoral Board of Santo Domingo Norte, submitted by Víctor Rodríguez Pavón and the appeal 01-0217-2024 against Resolution 0008/2024 issued by the Electoral Board of Oviedo on July 19, 2024 and filed by Manuel de Jesús Matos Hernández.
