Donald Trump

MIAMI, United States. – Former United States President Donald Trump visited the emblematic Versailles restaurant on Tuesday, a meeting place for Cuban exiles, after leaving the Miami Court, according to local and national media reports.

According to CNNit was an unscheduled visit, which the former president made before heading to the Miami airport and taking a flight back to New Jersey.

Arriving at Versailles, Trump shook hands with dozens of supporters who gathered at the venue and spoke with him. According to the media report, those present surrounded him and apparently prayed with him. Then they ordered pastries, one of the most popular Cuban sweets sold in Versailles.

According to reports by CNN and The New Herald, Trump was heard calling for “food for everyone” and praising those present with the phrase “what a group of people.” His supporters congratulated him and sang to him Happy Birthday, a few hours before his 77th birthday, this Wednesday. “What a birthday, right? We have a government that is out of control,” said the former president.

“I think this is going very well. I think this is a rigged affair. We have a rigged country. We have a corrupt country. We have a country that has no borders, we have a country that has nothing but problems. We’re a declining nation and then they do these things, and you see where the people are. We love the people, and you see where they are now, ”Trump said before the cameras, referring to his passage through the court this Tuesday.

According to statements to CNN from a source familiar with the former president’s itinerary in Miami, the Trump team decided to stop by the Versailles restaurant, considering it the “main place” for the Cuban community in South Florida.

“It is a community that knows political persecution very well,” the source said.

Trump appeared this Tuesday before a federal court in Miami where he was notified that he faces 37 charges for alleged handling of classified documents. On the outskirts of the Court, hundreds of people gathered to support or repudiate him.
