Trump nominates Ronald Johnson for US ambassador to Mexico

In his first term, Ron served as ambassador to El Salvador.

”He worked tirelessly with Salvadoran authorities and our team to reduce violent crime and illegal migration to the lowest levels in history,” Trump explained.

For more than twenty years, the next United States ambassador to Mexico worked with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Before that, he had a career in the United States Army as a Green Beret.

Trump reported that his chosen one graduated from the National Intelligence University with a Master’s Degree in Strategic Intelligence.

”Congratulations Ron. “Together, we will end migrant crime, stop the illegal flow of fentanyl and other dangerous drugs into our country,” Trump said.

Ron will take office after the end of the term of Ken Salazar, who for years maintained a close relationship with the Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, but whose criticism drove him away towards the end of the six-year term.
