The President of the United States, Donald Trump, declared, in a speech published on your social networkthat the main justification for the attack on Iran is to defend the Americans. He also stated that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.
“Our goal is to defend Americans by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime, a cruel group of terrible and tough people,” said the president.
Signaling his inclination to make several shows of force, Trump added that he would “destroy their missiles and destroy their missile industry.”
“We will annihilate your Navy. We will ensure that terrorist groups in the region can no longer destabilize the region or the world,” he said.
Still according to Trump’s statement, “they [Irã] will never have a nuclear weapon.”
“This regime will soon learn that no one should challenge the strength and power of the United States Armed Forces,” he added.
In its manifestation, also replicated in White House Instagram accountTrump stated that “not long ago the US Armed Forces began a major combat operation in Iran”, organized as a reaction to a succession of attacks.
“For 47 years, the Iranian regime has promoted a bloodbath,” argued the American president.
Throughout his speech, Trump made several mentions of “innocent people” who had lost their lives in attacks by Iranian forces, including references to soldiers killed in action. When citing past episodes, he highlighted the taking of students, for 444 days, from the US Embassy in Tehran, “the regime’s first action”, in which they were taken hostage, and the 1983 attack, in which the targets were marines.
The students leading the occupation of the embassy in 1979 demanded the extradition of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, deposed, who was undergoing medical treatment in the United States at the time. The strategy occurred in the context of the proclamation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Netanyahu
Also classifying the Iranians as terrorists and murderers, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, called on citizens to follow orders from the Civil Defense Command and asked for “patience and courage”, with the launch, in the coming days, of Operation Aryan’s Roar. Iran’s nuclear weapons, he said, pose a threat to all humanity.
“For 47 years, the Ayatollah’s regime cried ‘Death to Israel’, ‘Death to America’. It shed our blood, murdered many Americans and massacred its own people,” Netanyahu said.
“Our joint action will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take control of their destiny. The time has come for all segments of Iran’s population – Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Baluchis and Ahwazis – to free themselves from the yoke of tyranny and build a free and peaceful Iran,” he called.
