The US president, Donald Trumphe said that there are rumors that in Cuba “there is no autism“Because they have no money to consume Tylenol (more popular Paracetamol brand), in an effort to prove the decision of their administration to link the consumption of this compound with autism.
“There is a rumor, that I do not know if it is true or not, that in Cuba they do not have Tylenol (Paracetamol) because they have no money for it and virtually they have no autism. And there are other parts of the world that do not have Tylenol and have no autism. That already says a lot,” explained the president in an intervention on Monday.

Trump announced that his administration will recommend limiting the consumption of paracetamol to pregnant women due to the alleged link with the increase in the incidence of autism in the country: “They do not consume it!” He said.
The United States Food and Medicines Administration (FDA) will change warnings in Paracetamol throughout the country to alert about an alleged risk of autism due to its consumption, although there is no clear evidence that links that medicine to treat pain or common fever and whose consumption is widely extended without recipe.
“Consuming Tylenol during pregnancy can be associated with a higher risk of autism. So Tylenol is not good and is not good for this reason,” Trump insisted, which appeared accompanied by his Secretary of Health, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a skeptic of vaccines.
“We are seriously recommending that women limit in use of Tylenol during pregnancy unless it is medically necessary,” he said.
