In an amazing gesture, Donald Trump today demanded to be declared president almost two years after the elections that he lost in an uncontested way.
The former president has pushed unsubstantiated claims repeatedly accusing Biden and his son Hunter of corruption after the latter’s laptop ended up in the hands of the FBI.
But now Trump is arguing that the FBI intentionally “buried” information about Hunter Biden before the 2020 election to hurt him.
On his Truth Social platform, he wrote in all caps that “The FBI BURIED THE HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP STORY BEFORE THE ELECTION knowing that had they not done so, Trump would have easily won the 2020 Presidential Election. This is ELECTION FRAUD AND INTERFERENCE on a level never before seen in our country.”
He continued: “REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 election irreparably compromised and have a new election, immediately!”
Constitutional expert and Harvard Law professor Lawrence Tribe joked that if Trump was attempting an “insanity defense” against the various investigations against him, that strategy “won’t work.”
