donald trump lashed out at the parliamentary committee investigating his supporters’ assault on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, calling it “cheap court” and reiterating, without proof, that he was robbed of the 2020 presidential election.
During a hearing Thursday night, this committee accused him of having “missed his duty” during the attack and considered that he should be held legally responsible for it.

The former president seems to have closely followed the hearing and reacted with a series of messages on the Truth Social networkwhich he launched as an alternative to Twitter when access to this platform was banned.
The Republican, who plans to run for president in 2024, denounced the “lies” of this “corrupt and highly partisan” committee.
In particular, it was asked why the group of congressmen did not ask the Secret Service to confirm statements by a former White House employee according to which Trump tried to take the steering wheel from an officer’s limousine to try to join the protesters on January 6.
“Because they know the answer and they don’t like it. A trashy court!”he protested.
The 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and “stole from me and our country”he repeated, despite the fact that the courts dismissed his multiple legal appeals that supposedly would prove the fraud.
“America is going to hell. Am I supposed to be happy?“, he asked himself.
He also attacked one of his main rivals, Liz Cheney, the only Republican on the committee along with Adam Kinzingerwhom he called a “prudish failure”.
On Thursday night the members of the commission completed a series of high-profile hearings spending two and a half hours a day on January 6, 2021telling how Donald Trump lived it “minute by minute”.

They reproached him for having followed the violence of his followers for three hours without reacting“violating his duty as commander-in-chief”.
