The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Saturday (03) a large-scale attack on Venezuela. The capital Caracas and other cities would have been hit by air and land. Demonstrating on social mediaTrump stated that there was success and the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores, were captured and removed from the country. 
“The United States of America successfully carried out a large-scale attack against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolás Maduro, who was captured and taken out of the country along with his wife,” said the US president.
“This operation was carried out in conjunction with US law enforcement. More details coming soon. There will be a press conference today at 11am in Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for listening!”
Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino rejected the presence of foreign troops in the country and called the attack “vile and cowardly”. Padrino asked for international help.
Trump accuses Maduro of leading a criminal organization focused on international drug trafficking. US bombings of boats in Caribbean waters have occurred in recent months.
However, on several occasions, the president of Venezuela denied involvement in trafficking and also asked for support from international organizations.
