The escalation of violence that hits the province of Trujillo forces the authorities to evaluate the application of certain drastic measures such as a curfew. The idea is to limit the free field to criminals who expect certain schedules of the day to commit their misdeeds.
However, the mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo (MPT), Mario Reyna Rodríguez, said yesterday that before applying this measure, it must be coordinated with the business unions to establish a time slot, in order to be the least harmful to this sector and not affect the economy of the population.
“What we do not want is to affect economic activity. An excessive curfew could be harmful. I think this, for now, makes sense. The three bombings that were in Trujillo were at night, but the measure would have to be temporary. Then it could affect the neighbors,” projection.
Key meeting
At this point it is important to mention that the proposal to decree the truck touch in Trujillo was discussed on the afternoon of last Thursday during a meeting before the presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
Governor César Acuña, and the mayors of Trujillo (Mario Reyna), El Porvenir (Juan Carranza), La Esperanza (Wilmer Sánchez) and Florencia de Mora (Wilson Toribio) were present in this conclave. Premier Eduardo Arana and Interior Ministers, Carlos Malaver, and Defense, Walter Astudillo, also participated.

PROPOSAL
The mayor of the District Municipality of El Porvenir, Juan Carranza Ventura, indicated that because the last dynamite attacks in Trujillo were perpetrated at night, the proposal that was raised was to apply the curfew from 11 pm to 5 am
“It is pertinent, useful and necessary to apply the measure. There was a discussion on this point, since it was said that this could mean something anti -democratic and dictatorial, but I explained that the same Political Constitution of Peru stipulates the exception regime with the site stadium and the emergency state. In the latter it contemplates the restriction of the free transit of people; that is, touch of remains, but without violating some citizen rights. The burgomaster added.
Carranza revealed that the proposal was accepted by the executive representatives, who requested to support and formalize the order with a document
FORMALIZE
From the Regional Government of Libertad they reported that the governor (César Acuña) prepares documents to settle the procedures and will hope that the Executive’s decision will be formalized to offer a press conference in order to give the most exact details of this measure to stop crime.
However, we were informed that the Ministry of Interior has made the decision to send in the next days 100 agents to reinforce the intelligence area of the National Police of Peru (PNP).
