The heavy rain in recent days have caused a considerable increase in the flows of rivers and streams in Boconó, Trujillo state, which keeps its inhabitants on alert.

The waters of the Segovia creek and the Boconó river gained strength due to the rainfall that has not stopped in the last few hours. In fact, landslides and falling trees have been reported in the town, but without registering major effects or material damage.

According to the media Momoy News, the most affected sectors so far are Mosquey and Vega Arriba. In addition, the local fire department restricted the passage through the Sabanita bridge due to the flooding of the ravine that passes through the place.

In the same way, the authorities remain on alert and carry out monitoring and clearing of the roads.

On the other hand, they also reported the power outage for at least six hours that kept the inhabitants of Boconó in anxiety. This is presumably due to maintenance work at the hands of Corpoelec in the Campo Elías municipality.
