NEW YORK.- The Department of Transportation of this city (DOT), directed by the Dominican Ydanis Rodríguez, announced the program of deliveries of goods outside office hours by trucks in the Big Apple.
Deliveries will start at 7:00 at night until 6:00 the next morning, so that drivers are less stressed, more productive, avoid conflicts and delays when making them, and can park more easily.
Likewise, suppliers will improve their results, trucks can make more deliveries in less time, fuel costs go down and drivers receive fewer parking and traffic tickets.

The DOT is exploring a series of incentives that will help companies investigate and ultimately deliver off-hours.
Making deliveries in the Big Apple can be a real headache, especially during peak congestion hours, as approximately 120,000 trucks and commercial vehicles enter the five boroughs every day.
If all businesses in NYC joined the after-hours delivery program, local economic benefits could exceed $200 million per year.
