Trucks do not respect the height of bridges

Part of the structures of some bridges of the city present damages caused by trucks containers that impact them because their height is less than that of some of the heavy vehicles that use them.

Wear and tear concrete, rods up to an inch long twisted and scraped, are part of the damages that can be seen below the bridges Juan Pablo Duarte and the one on La Fuente Street, next to Juan Bosch.

It is one of the routes used by the truckers to move towards the bridge Ramón Matías Mella, and from there, to Santo Domingo Este and Boca Chica.

None of the bridges has signage that indicates the height allowed, so the truckers They cross taking into account the height in plain sight. There are also no traffic officers to prevent the passage of trucks vans and avoid the damages to these infrastructures.
