The Truckers’ Associations of the Central, Paraguarí and Cordillera departments issued a note to the head of Congress, Óscar Salomón, in repudiation of the breach of the agreement signed on July 9 with the president of Petropar, Denis Lichi and other government authorities.
In that sense, they explain that the agreement was a reduction in the price of fuel through a discount card of G. 700, but that until today it has not been fulfilled.
“They broke their word, added to the promise that, according to them, in the first half of August, the decrease in fuel prices would begin considering the situation at that time,” says the note.
The truck drivers stated that they feel cheated and disgusted with the Government, for which they demand the immediate resignation of Denis Lichi and the reduction of the fuel price of G. 1,500.
