A truck loaded with 18 tons of fish that was traveling along the Costanera highway to head to Lima got lost and overturned this morning at kilometer 217, jurisdiction of the province of Ilo (Moquegua) with considerable material damage.
The boxes with hydrobiological products were scattered on the track and shoulder of the communication route, becoming obstacles for other vehicles and a threat of other traffic accidents, so agents from the Highway Police (Polcar) Ilo base went to the area for the intervention and regulation of vehicular traffic.

According to intervening police officers, the traffic accident (mistake and rollover) occurred at 5:30 a.m., involving a white International brand truck model 9200I SBA 6×4 with license plate T9W-893 driven by Rodolfo Namuche Carpio (73), which was traveling from south to north (Ilo to Lima), transporting 800 boxes of horse mackerel fish.
The septuagenarian transporter based in Lima was rescued by the crew of the Polcar Ilo patrol car CL-22817 and did not have any serious injuries, preliminarily indicating that the traffic accident occurred when he made a bad maneuver with the heavy vehicle.
