Truck loaded with flour caught fire in Guárico

In the afternoon hours of this Wednesday, in the Las Palmas sector of the Juan Germán Roscio municipality of Guárico state, a white Ford 350 truck caught fire completely causing material losses.

Officially it was learned that the vehicle had electrical faults, which caused it to burn and a large quantity of wheat flour that was being transported by Jonny Alberto Colina Malavé, 45, the truck driver.

In this sense, the Urban and Forest Fire Department appeared at the scene of the event, who extinguished the flames that completely covered the vehicle, which belonged to a recognized company in the state of Aragua.

Likewise, official sources indicated that the people who were boarding the vehicle quickly left it when they realized the situation, so they did not suffer any damage.

“The truck was on fire and stopped, (…) a few minutes later it exploded and broke the windows and tires,” said a witness to the event.

The bodies of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), Poliguárico, municipal police, forest and urban firefighters, Civil Protection and the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc) attended the scene of the event.

The incident was viralized through social networks due to the magnitude of the flames that caught the attention of the adjacent inhabitants. Similarly, traffic on the highway was paralyzed while the competent entities controlled the situation.
