Truck leaders were sent to the Tacumbú prison

On the morning of this Tuesday, the five transporter detainees were transferred from the Specialized Group to the Tacumbú National Penitentiary.

They are Ángel Zaracho, Roberto Almirón, Vicente Medina, Juan Friedelin, and Julio César Solaeche, leaders of different trucker organizations.

It should be remembered that on April 22, Judge José Agustín Delmás had decided to ratify the preventive detention of the five detainees due to the possibility of a danger of escape and obstruction of the investigation.

Previously, the Public Ministry had charged them with the punishable act of extortion, after a bribery request that was revealed through an investigation.

Ángel Zaracho, Roberto Almirón, Vicente Medina, Juan Friedelin, and Julio César Solaeche are accused of extorting the Minister of the Interior, demanding the delivery of a million dollars to stop carrying out road closures until the end of the current government.
