The event occurred at 11:00 this Friday, when the driver allegedly under the influence of alcohol, iHe insisted on crossing the blockade point and ended up accelerating and colliding with the awning, chairs, women, children and men who were in the place.
According to the residents, the driver passed laughing and tried to flee the place after causing the damage; however, the people managed to prevent his escape and alerted the Police, who managed to arrest him after the people beat him.
From the police cell, the driver indicated that he had been stranded since 9:00 a.m. and that he tried to pass through the place, believing that they would lower the pipe spread out on the road. “I was not drunk, I thought they would lower the pita. I crashed the awning and everything”, explained the driver when he was consulted by another person about why he ran over people at the point of blockade.
However, the witnesses reported that the driver acted recklessly and with bad intentions, since he did not care about running over people.
The seven injured people were evacuated to the Minero hospital, three of them arrived in ambulances and the rest in private vehicles.
The doctor on duty, Juan Saavedra, indicated that there are three serious patients, two of them were evacuated to Montero, to different clinics. He said that one of the patients has a fractured fibula and another, a dislocated shoulder (bone injury).
“We have X-rays have been taken of patients under observation and fortunately no fractures or fissures were found, but they will remain under observation,” the doctor stressed.
The people who witnessed the accident pointed out that, fortunately, there were no deaths, but they indicated that they will insist that justice be done since the driver made an attempt on the lives of several people.
