The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that today there will be moderate to heavy showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind in several provinces of the country, including Greater Santo Domingo.
The entity explains that in the afternoon and during the night an increase in humidity is expected which, together with a trough, which affects the national territory, will generate moderate to heavy downpours in the regions: north, northeast, the eastern plain, as well as in the Central mountain range and in the border area of the country.
Rain is forecast for the provinces of Elias Pine, San Pedro de Macoris, Monte Plata, Santo Domingo, National District, Santiago, San Cristobal, Sanchez Ramirez, Duarte, La Vega, Monsignor Nouel, Santiago Rodriguez, Dajabon and Monsignor Nouel.
The Dominican Institute of Meteorology reports that temperatures will remain hot this Friday, with minimum temperatures between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius and maximum temperatures between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, a tropical wave and the effects of a trough will produce very heavy rains at times, thunderstorms and gusts of wind in much of the country.
This rainfall activity will be concentrated in the provinces of the following regions: northeast, east, the Caribbean coastal region, the central mountain range and the border area.
