Santo Domingo.- A trough located in the Atlantic Ocean will cause showers in several Dominican towns starting this Monday, the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (DMI) reported this Sunday.Indomet).
The rains will be recorded in towns near the Central mountain range, the northern coast, the province of Santo Domingo and the National District, according to the report.
The Meteorological Service also reported that it is monitoring three areas of heavy rain, which could show some development in the coming days.

Two of these systems are located in the eastern part of the Atlantic, while the third is located near the Central American coasts heading towards the Gulf of Mexico, so it does not pose a danger to the country.
The Meteorological Service urged the population to remain attentive to official information during the remainder of the 2024 hurricane season in the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico.
