The precautionary hearing in which Widen Nallar, Misael Nallar’s brother, one of the main defendants in the triple murder of police officers in Porongo, sought to defend himself in freedom, it was postponed until next Wednesday, March 8 of this administration, the same one that will no longer be virtual by order of the judge.

For today, Thursday, at 9:00 a.m., the hearing on the request for the cessation of preventive detention of Widen Nallar; however, for irregularities in it, such as the failure to send the link for the virtual hearing to the defense of the victims, and the presentation of illegible evidence, caused Judge Rodrigo Vedia to suspend the hearing.

The victims’ lawyer, Juan Pablo Ibáñez, indicated that Widen Nallar, his lawyer and the defense of the relatives of the victims of the murder of two police officers and a Gacip volunteer on June 21, 2022, must appear in person at the court of the municipality of La Guardia, Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

“There were irregularities in the notification and installation of the hearing, The victims were never sent the link, and tests were also used that are not legible and that trying to read them is impossible and would become inhumane. The copies with which they want to notify us cannot be read,” claimed Ibáñez.

According to the evidence collected against Widen Nallar, the witnesses on the day of the murder They accuse him of being the person who supplied large-caliber weapons and vests from the Felcn (Special Force to Fight Crime) to his brother Misael Nallar, to Édgar Dorado Menacho, nicknamed ‘boss’, and to Jasier Góngora Montero.

“Widen arrived at the Team 777 workshop driving the white wagon in which he brought the heavy-caliber weapons and vests de la Felcn, distributed them and went out to kill. One of the witnesses recognizes Widen and his brother, Misael,” said the lawyer for the victims.

Widen Nallar is prosecuted for the crime of murder, but the defendant seeks to defend himself in freedom. “vWe want to documentally demonstrate that the request for cessation of liberty for Widen is not applicable Nallar, and we will ask that he remain in the Palmasola prison,” said the lawyer for the victims.
