The Court of Honor for the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections agreed to urge the political organizations participating in the regional second round to comply with commitments 17, 18 and 19 of the Electoral Ethical Pact.
As recalled, the regional second round will take place in Amazonas, Cajamarca, Callao, Cusco, Lambayeque, Lima Region, Moquegua, Pasco and Piura next Sunday December 4th.
Said commitments refer to the presentation of proposals and feasibility during the electoral process, according to the position for which they are applying, presenting themselves in a clear, precise and accessible way to the public.
He also insisted that they must actively participate in decentralized debates, with the aim that citizens cast an informed vote, and that during the exchange of ideas, participate within the framework of respect for candidates and political organizations.
Finally, he stressed that the applicants must answer the questions asked during the electoral debates organized by the National Elections Jury (JNE) in clear and simple language, so that everyone can receive and understand your proposals.
In this sense, he emphasized that in the responses of the applicants it will be important to show evidence and technical foundations that demonstrate the viability of the proposals.
