Former Paraguayan senator Cubas raised two incidents at the beginning of the oral and public trial against him for having chained himself to a police patrol car.
The Sentencing Court made up of Carlos Hermosilla, Héctor Escobar and Sandra Farías began the oral trial for resistance against Paraguayo Cubas and the leader of the Authentic Radical Liberal Party (PLRA) Marcos Cecilio Báez.
But Cubas raised two incidentsthe first requesting the annulment of the preliminary hearing and the other against the record that elevated his process to oral and public trial.
The members of the Court will analyze both requirements and tomorrow, when the trial resumes, they will announce their decision.
For Payo Cubas, his preliminary hearing lasted two days and when he came to sign his act of elevation to oral trial, he did not find it.for which he asks that the entire process against him be annulled.

This case was initiated on April 7, 2021 when a patrol car was parked on the street August 15 almost Star with a chauffeur, when he appeared Cubas, who was filming an alleged irregular act of a police mobile that was being used to make private purchases.
The former senator first reprimanded the driver and took the keys of the vehicle, when other agents arrived to intervene, Cubas threw himself under the patrol boat and chained himselfasking for the Minister of the Interior to come or he was not going to move from the place.
Other adherents of Paraguayo Cubas also arrived and a violent situation began with the police.It was then that Báez attacked a uniformed man. Then Cubas and Báez were arrested, for all these facts they were prosecuted and accused of resistance. The case is now in the oral and public trial stage.
