“Triads were formed by suitability” according to Óscar Paciello

The Council of the Judiciary finally chose the two short lists of candidates to fill the two vacancies that exist in the Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE). The shortlist one was made up of Emilio Camacho, César Rossel and Édgar Urbieta. While the shortlist two was made up of Myriam Cristaldo, Jorge Bogarín and Gustavo López.

With this, what they feared from the PLRA took place, that Emilio Camacho and César Rossel integrate the same list, taking into account that they are two of the best scores and only one can be elected.

Óscar Paciello, president of the Judicial Council, tried to justify these questions during an interview with 730 AM. He stated that the first round of voting left four short lists. And none of the ternados reached five votes. In the second round three short lists were defined, none reached six votes.

“Anyone can judge from their own point of view, political, economic and passionate. But the Council of the Judiciary evaluates from the suitability in the first place. Of the six who arrived, the ones who best explained their suitability and expertise in the matter were Rossel and Cristaldo, both with decades of experience working in the Electoral Tribunal. The components of affection are of consideration in other classes”, he explained.
