Experts in psychology agree that violence against women presents men with common symptoms, and that the problem is growing in levels.

The professional indicated that in therapies with women who suffer violence from their partners, the verbal attacks used by men to put pressure on them.

He added that another of the elements that emerge as symptoms is the control that, sometimes progressively, other times in an accelerated manner, are applied by men against their partners. They check their cell phones, ask who they meet with, who they hang out with, prohibit certain friendships, question the way they dress and other types of “prohibitions”.
Ostertag stated that education to minimize the expansion of machismo involves the media in an important place. He expressed that It cannot be classified as a mere crime of passion when a man murders his wife. “You cannot talk about a crime of passion, it is a crime of hate, impotence, not passion, you have to call things by their name,” he said.
