Tres Bocas: asphalting of the tunnel began and it is planned to enable it for the holidays

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) began the asphalting of the Tres Bocas tunnel and the intention is to enable it to traffic before the end of the year holidays, to expedite the circulation of 45,000 motorists on Acceso Sur.

Tres Bocas is almost ready with 100% of the excavations, the stampers and the storm drain, which will give a new quality of life to the residents of the area. The bottom slab is currently in process, reaching 35% completion.

From the MOPC they assure that through the uninterrupted work, carried out day and night, it was possible to start the paving of the asphalt layer of the tunnel. The intention is to enable it to traffic before the end of the year holidays, to expedite the circulation of 45,000 motorists who use the South Access area daily.

Authorities from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications made a tour and verified the important advances that have been made in the mega road infrastructure.

The work carried out by the contractor Tecnoedil SA was highlighted and it was reiterated that passage through the tunnel will soon be enabled. In parallel, progress is also being made on the other fronts, such as the sidewalks and curbs, in order to leave a new environment for the frontiers and residents.
