Members of the Tren del Llano criminal organization murdered a 63-year-old woman identified as Olga José Arias de Carranza, police sources said.
The criminals murdered Mrs. Olga last Friday inside her residence located in the San José alley, Altagracia de Orituco (Guárico).
Apparently, the subjects were looking for a man nicknamed El Hapi in that house, who took refuge with Olga José, his mother, in a room. It was precisely there where the criminals shot, causing the death of the sixty-year-old.
When the shooting stopped, El Hapi fled. Cicpc officials lifted the body.
The Tren del Llano was founded by Gilberto Malony Hernández (El Malony), who was shot down in November of last year in the town of San Juan de Unare, Sucre. El Malony had settled a year and a half ago in that eastern town after being captured by Colombian drug cartels to establish a route for drug trafficking to the Caribbean islands, according to investigations.
Once El Malony was killed, his followers continued criminal activities in Guárico. Recently said organization installed a cell in rural sectors of the Pedro Zaraza municipality where they charge high sums in dollars to the agro-producers to let them work.
There they have confronted members of the gang founded by Yohanny Machuca (El Pepón), who also collect vaccines from agricultural producers in Zaraza. Two weeks ago, both criminal groups had an armed confrontation in Los Guatacaros, a rural sector located near the La Becerra reservoir, the border between Zaraza and Santa María de Ipire.
The initial balance was four dead people and the displacement of several family groups, according to witnesses.
