The Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) revealed the “Government Securities Auction Program” for the third quarter of this year, which will come into force as of Sunday, July 5.
“The public debt policy of the Mexican government will continue to be guided by a proactive and flexible strategy during the third quarter of 2022, seeking to satisfy financing needs, preferably in the local market, and will adjust to the public deficit goal with the in order to continue strengthening the macroeconomic fundamentals and Public finances of the country,” the Treasury reported in a statement.
In this sense, the amounts of the auctions of the Treasury Certificates (Cetes) will continue without any change in line with what was seen in the second quarter of the year. This is from 5,000 to 20,000 million pesos (mdp) per week for terms of 28, 91, 182 days and 1 year.
The amount to be auctioned Bondes F with a term of 1 year it will be 3,000 million pesos every fortnight. In terms of 2 and 3 years, the communicating vessels scheme will not be used and they will have a fixed fortnightly amount to be auctioned of 1,700 and 1,000 million pesos, respectively.
The 5-year Bondes F will be auctioned for 2,000 million pesos on a fortnightly basis and every two weeks they will be auctioned in terms of 7 and 10 years for an amount of 800 million and the communicating vessels scheme will not be used
Meanwhile, the M Bonds reduce the average amounts to be auctioned in the 10, 20 and 30 year nodes. While the average amount to be auctioned remains the same for 3 and 5 year nodes.
In the Udibonos the emission of the nodes of 3, 10 and 20 years is reduced. The contractions in emissions are from 1,100 to 800 million pesos, from 1,000 to 900 million pesos and from 800 million pesos to 650 million pesos, respectively.
The average amount to be auctioned for the 30-year node remains the same, this is 1,100 million pesos. The SHCP revealed that every week of the third quarter Udibonos will be auctioned.
“Hacienda reiterates its commitment to preserve the stability of the economy and the proper functioning of the local debt market, in the same way, it will remain attentive to the evolution of the financial markets to take the necessary measures to ensure their proper functioning, “said the secretariat.
The federal agency, under the direction of Rogelio Ramirez de la O, He clarified that in the event that any modification to the “Government Securities Auction Program” is necessary, the market will be informed in a timely manner.
