After the publication of Ecopetrol’s financial results for 2022, in which the state oil company registered income of $159.5 billion and a net income of $33.4 billionthe Ministry of Finance highlighted these figures and the contribution they represent to the Nation.
According to the portfolio, these results allow the country to advance in fiscal consolidation and macroeconomic stability.
The Minister of Finance and Public Credit, José Antonio Ocampo, also highlighted the solidity of Ecopetrol, the largest company in the country, and in which the Nation has a participation of 89%.

According to the official, The Government “is committed to continuing to strengthen the company” so that it continues to show positive results, especially in the face of favorable hydrocarbon prices, but also so that it remains solid in times of headwinds.

“The results that Ecopetrol reported allow the company to continue strengthening, taking advantage of the good times and to continue to be a protagonist in the energy transition to which this Government is committed”Ocampo said.

The holder of the portfolio also highlighted the news for shareholderswho will receive the ordinary dividend of $487 per share and an extraordinary dividend of $106 per share for a total of $593 per share.
