Treasury Direct and B3 announce innovative companies that will receive support

Treasury Direct sales have the second highest monthly value in history

A platform for financial solutions to informal workers, a business that offers rewards to those who recycle garbage, an automatic sign language translation tool are some of the 40 impact businesses, companies focused on social and environmental issues, which will receive financial support Direct Treasury and B3. In all, R $ 5.2 million is being destined. The announcement of the winners occurs eight months after the opening of the Treasury Direct Notice Impacta (TD Impacta), which attracted 1,400 registrations from all regions of the country.

The chosen businesses were divided into three categories, defined based on the maturity of the project. The first is creation (talents interested in entrepreneurship, who want to get an idea of ​​the role). The second is acceleration (to develop business and leverage company growth). The last is open innovation (traction or scale business, interested in testing the concept with the initiative partners).

The money comes from the custody fee that Treasury Direct investors pay B3. In each category, five highlights will continue to receive financial support by June, when the first edition of Treasury Direto impacta ends. In the area of ​​open innovation, the five prominent developments are as follows:

• Green Mining (Barueri, SP): Business that encourages recycling with rewards, offering total traceability of the recycling chain to ensure reverse logistics, besides promoting the formalization and fair remuneration of collectors for social inclusion;

• Handtalk (Maceió): Business that offers innovative artificial intelligence -based solutions such as automatic translation for digital accessibility sign languages ​​and tools, helping companies and people communicate more inclusively;

• Mooney – Financial Education (São Paulo): Business that offers gamified financial education (in the form of games with levels and rewards) to schools, from kindergarten to high school. Virtual pets make learning fun and engaging;

• Tindin Education (Maringá, PR): Immersive learning educational platform where young people make financial decisions for their avatars, learning in practice and safely about financial management and investments;

• Trampay (Brasilia): Social Impact Financial Platform that offers solutions for autonomous workers, such as receivables and digital account, promoting financial inclusion and support to informal professionals.

In all, ten businesses were chosen in the open innovation category. Each will receive $ 50,000 to refine technological solutions. The five highlights between the selected will divide more than R $ 2 million, which must be intended for the implementation of pilot projects and the cost of concept tests, which will occur over the coming months.

Other categories

In the acceleration area, ten businesses were chosen that will earn $ 40,000 each to develop growth plans. The five highlights between the ten companies will divide R $ 1.1 million and continue to receive training from the program by June.

In the area of ​​creation, 20 entrepreneurs were chosen, who will receive $ 20,000 each. Among the five participants highlights will divide R $ 250 thousand and will continue to receive support from TD impacts in the coming months. According to the Treasury and B3, 30% of entrepreneurs have representativeness in racial diversity and more than half is a woman. The highlights of both categories are being announced by the end of this afternoon.

Social and environmental return

Impact businesses are companies that offer solutions to social or environmental problems through the main activity. Companies operate according to market logic, with a business model that seeks financial returns and commit to measuring the generated impact.

These businesses follow the following criteria: intention to solve a social or environmental problem; Impact solution as the main activity of the business; search for financial return, operating by market logic; and commitment to monitor the effects on society.

The platform of Td impact It had the support of Artemisia, an organization that supports impact businesses. Founded in 2005, Artemisia has already benefited over 800 companies through acceleration programs, support in open innovation pilot projects (solutions that can be reproduced by other companies) and investment articulation. The organization will also help in choosing projects.
