The Board of the Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro (TRE-RJ) decided today (31) to reject the candidacy registration for federal deputy of the former councilor of the Rio de Janeiro capital, Gabriel Monteiro (PL). The rejection is due to the termination of Monteiro’s mandate for breach of parliamentary decorum. In the Chamber of Rio, the former councilor was revoked by 48 votes to two, in a vote held on the 18th, in the plenary of the House.

Former military policeman and youtuberGabriel Monteiro responded for breach of parliamentary decorum before his peers for three reasons: staging with a minor in a mallaggression against a homeless person invited to the staging of a robbery in Lapa and sexual intercourse recorded on video with a minor, who later had the images leaked on the internet.

Monteiro’s defense argued on the day of the impeachment that the staging with the teenager in mall was consented by the young woman’s mother, that the recording with the homeless person was a social experiment and that he would have been aggressive, and that the councilor did not know that the girl he had a relationship with was a minor.

Councilman Chico Alencar (PSOL), rapporteur of the case for breach of decorum by Gabriel Monteiro in the Council of Ethics of the Chamber, highlighted on voting day that filming sex scenes with minors is a crime, and that the videos have appalling dialogues and physical aggression. .

“The filming of sexual intercourse with a minor, at the time 15 years old, shocks everyone. The video is unpublishable, with physical assault on the woman. This is filmed. This is unpublishable,” he said.

The former councilor is also a defendant and responds to the crimes of harassment and sexual harassment against a 26-year-old former advisor. The complaint from the State Public Ministry was received by the Justice on July 20. According to the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice, “the process takes place in court secrecy, as it is a crime of sexual violence. In these cases, the victim’s identity must be preserved.”

At the time, the councilor’s defense denied the accusations and stated that his former advisers work for the “tow mafia”, which he allegedly denounced.

In May, Gabriel Monteiro had already become a defendant on charges of having filmed the sexual relationship with the teenager, and his defense stated that he believed the 15-year-old girl was actually 18.
