Transporters suspend the blockade in Caranavi

Roberto Ríos, Vice Minister of Citizen Security and some police chiefs met with the leadership of the Federation of Unified Transport of the Northern Amazon and signed an agreement that made it possible to suspend the blocking of roads in the municipality of Caranavi, department of La Paz, announced for this Wednesday, July 24.

“We reached an important agreement for the Bolivian people, rejecting (the leadership) of the Unified Transport of the Northern Amazon) any pressure measure”the deputy minister stressed.

He agreement It was signed after committing to take action against cases of corruption and abuse of power by certain police officers. “The agreement establishes that they will file complaints of acts of corruption committed by officersto initiate disciplinary proceedings before the corresponding authority,” said Ríos.

It is important to note that the agreement was signed by representatives of the National Directorate of Transitof the Directorate of Prevention and Investigation of Vehicle Theft (Diprove) and representatives of the Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking (Felcn).
