They communicated that the points they want to discuss are the freezing of the price of fuel and the revision of transport rates.
Starting at 4:00 am this Monday, carriers from the Western Panama Provincial Chamber paralyzed the service, as they call on the authorities to meet with them at the national level and seek a laudable solution to the problem of diesel and gasoline.
The leaders stated that the meetings with the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) have not been successful and denounced that the payment of the $8 million that the Government had promised them has not been made in an expeditious manner.
“At this time we have only received the first bonus of three million,” they stressed.
They communicated that the points they want to discuss are the freezing of the price of fuel and the revision of transport rates.
The stops are packed with hundreds of people who will not be able to get to their jobs or other points on time due to the lack of transportation.
It should be noted that the carriers of Western Panama have been expressing their disagreement with what was proposed by the ATTT, and have highlighted that they did not feel represented by the National Chamber of Transportation (Canatra).
