The Ministry of Transport and Public Works reported that from next Monday, August 29, two new tolls will be incorporated into the automation process that began in July. The new posts are the Centennial toll, located at km 246 of route 5, and the Capilla de Cella toll, route 9, km 245.
You will no longer be able to pay in cash at these posts. Vehicles may make payment using the electronic toll device (TAG). Meanwhile, if the vehicle does not have this automatic payment system, the barrier will be lifted with the automatic reading of the license plate and the payment will be made through the Single Vehicle Revenue Collection System (Sucive).
The TAG can be purchased at toll booths or at different collection points in the country.
New Rates
The Executive power published this week the decree that sets the new prices for tolls that will take effect from next Thursday, September 1 at all collection points operated by concessionaires of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works on national routes.
In the category of cars and vans, the electronic toll rate increases by $10. In the case of the electronic toll option, it goes from $112.50 to $122.50 (+8.9%), while the cash rate is $150.
