Transport technical table will meet today to define new measures regarding the increase in fuel

The director of the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT), Carlos Ordóñez, indicated that this afternoon the technical table that debates the issue of transportation in the country will evaluate new measures to mitigate the looming increase in fuel, and that it will surely impact to our society.

He pointed out that the Government approved since November of last year the use of $3 million to offer financial aid to carriers who meet the requirements or who are active with their plates, these being some 45,546 people who met, to make use of a only fuel bonus of $41.74, redeemable with your ID at accredited gas stations.

However, the director of the ATTT expressed in Telemetro Reporta, that before the increase in fuel that is coming, the table that discusses the issues related to land transport addresses new measures.

“We know that this is a problem that is going to increase, we are sitting at a table established by the president since January where we are analyzing different situations, different problems and trying to bring a response to the transport sector today. we have the third table where Customs are participating, where we are going to take a proposal to them regarding a modification of Decree 56 where it talks about tariffs on parts or the introduction of vehicles to try to see how we can find other paleatives at the hand of our Government to help the carrier’s economy,” Ordóñez said.

The official stressed that in the coming days they will be revealing the new measures they will take so as not to affect the pockets of transport users.
