The process of transition of functions of the extinct National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) to the Anti -Corruption and Good Governance Secretariat will culminate on May 13.

This was reported by former commissioner Norma Julieta of the Venegas River, after last Wednesday the head of Anti -Corruption, Raquel Buenrostro, held a meeting with the Transition Committee to evaluate the progress of the process.

The Committee is integrated, in addition to the Venegas River, by former commissioners Adrián Alcalá Méndez, Josefina Román Vergara and Blanca Lilia Ibarra Cadena, as well as 11 former INAI officials. The objective is to guarantee an orderly delivery-reception, after the disappearance of the autonomous body that occurred on March 21, when the new laws on transparency and protection of personal data were published.

Del Río Venegas assured on social networks that the process progresses With order and commitment and that the first cut of results is already reviewed, after last weekend the liquidations were made for the 739 employees of the extinct Institute.

He also clarified that, although the deadlines and terms to meet applications are suspended as part of the transition, citizens can continue requesting information through the National Transparency Platform. Resources and complaints may be resolved as of June 3.

At the meeting with the Committee, Raquel Buenrostro thanked the commitment of the transfer of the transfer, according to information from the Anti -Corruption Secretariat.

Once the transition period has been completed, the functions performed by INAI will be assumed by transparency for the people, a new decentralized organ assigned to the Anti -Corruption Secretariat, which will seek to guarantee access to public information and the protection of personal data under the new institutional scheme.
